During  the day Friday, our friends and family who are arriving early will be enjoying the beach coves and exploring hiking trails. Let us know if you're in town early and want any recommendations or hiking partners.

The Ceremony:

Point 16 in Big Sur, California

Ceremony begins at 3:30pm

Cocktails, dinner, and reception to follow

Live band and dancing until 10pm

Shuttles to leave from Glen Oaks at 2:30pm and Big Sur Lodge at 2:40pm. Big Sur Lodge shuttle to pick up at the turn out on Southbound Highway 1 across from lobby. Parking will also be available onsite for those who plan to drive. For those driving, Point 16 is located 45 min south of Glen Oaks and Big Sur Lodge, just south of Lucia Lodge on the ocean side, across from the Hermitage. Look for a wooden sign that says "Wedding"

Shuttles will and are available for departure from wedding venue back to hotels between at 8p and 10pm. 

*All wedding events will be held outdoors.  Big Sur weather can be unpredictable; even if its warm during the day it will get cold at night. Please bring a warm jacket.

Dress code: Whatever makes you feel beautiful. Sport coats, suits, dresses welcome, but not necessary.  Basically, wear whatever will keep you warm and will facilitate you getting on the dance floor.

For anyone driving, Point 16 is located just south of Lucia Lodge on the ocean side across from the Hermitage. Look for a wooden sign that says "wedding."

Point 16 closes at 10:00pm and we know our party will not be over.  The bar at the Fernwood has a live band most weekends, so the dancing will continue into the wee hours. Shuttles at the wedding will drop those who would like to go to the after party at Fernwood.

For those still in town, a casual picnic brunch will be held on picnic tables 1 mile walking distance from Big Sur Lodge. Parking available on site for $10 at Lot 3 & 4 and at Big Sur Lodge.  

To reach the Picnic area by car, turn off from Highway 1 PCH at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, which is same turn off as Big Sur Lodge.  Follow the Day Use Road past the Park Entrance Kiosk (where you will pay $10 per vehicle) to the group picnic areas. From Parking Area 4, follow the signs to the short path to access Picnic Area C (path is next to the restrooms).
